Ok now I have a rough idle when engine is hot only. Very inconsistent and effects low down power (miss's) when hard accelerating. From research Ive done im leaning towards the coil packs. But also from research I found testing them with a meter can show inconclusive evidence of them being on the way out. Im also leaning towards the oxygen sensor. Either way its an expensive way to to trouble shoot the issue. Any thoughts? Cheers |

G13bb? i'd have a guess at it being the crank angle sensor starting to suffer from heat soak, quite common with the early Jimny's. |

Yeah G13BB. Would that throw a engine light? I have not had an engine light yet. Tried a mates scan tool. Gets power but no data. Cheers |

I just had the sage of trying to get my jimny running right after it was running rou and cutting out when hot. Ran perfectly up until it got warm and then played up. It turned out to be the Cam Position Sensor. Takes five minutes to change and then ran like a dream. $80 was the price of the part. Would be good if you had someone who could let you use theirs. I went through the coils, alternator etc trying to find it. I would start with the CPS. Cheapest and from wha I have heard a spare will come in handy some day anyway. My 2c worth. |

Can you pick these up from repco or do you have to go genuine? Cheers |

I just did a search for mine online. It was after market. I did pull the one out of my car first though, compared it to the picture, very technical hey.. There were quite a few that we're similar so I suspect they are pretty common through the zook range. I took the punt and it paid off for me anyway. The search was Suzuki cam position sensor. I hope this fixes the HUGE lack of power the motor is putting out. Never driven such a gut-less 1.3 before.... i hope for your sake it's something simple Shane, cus it felt reeeeeeeeeeally down on power when i drove it...heck a 1L sierra felt like it had more power than your jim |

When mine was bad it was bad. Otherwise it ran good up until it started to get hot. Maybe it is a coil, lead or something. May not be a CPS aft all. |

I hope it's the cause Monley! Coming from a stand still at paganoni rd lights it felt like it was dropping out and surging up the incline! |
