Today i had the Jimny in getting the factory roof rails fitted and get the death wobble supposably fixed. I dropped into the shop around lunch to be shown that at 'full hang' = The car was on the lift and brake lines were tight that.

- The front drive shaft sits on the tube crossmember of the chassis.
- The sway bar's ball joints touch the steering arm.
- The rear shock touches the diff housing and spring housing
- They just whacked the caster correction bushes and forced it all to fit
- And the silly bastards took the crush tubes out of the shock rubbers and rattle gunned them up...

The wobble wasn't fixed, This weekend I'll be swapping to the extended brake lines and trying to find crush tubes and fitting them and swapping my TD rears to the Procomps.

Any one else have same issue or noticed this when they fitted there JB 3" lift?

sounds like most of your issues should have been resolved with the initial install.

My opinion.... Go somewhere else for your suspension work next time.

I fitted jb 3" had no dramas except slight lean on drivers side. I used their radious ams, extended brake lines and 25mm prop spacer.

Fit shock repositioners to move the shock away from the coil seat
My front shaft didnt touch the cross member at all, but your might only because car was on the lift. Shouldn't do it while on the ground or during articulation. Take the away bar off.
With Procomp shock and my jb 3" lift only the rear brake line was slightly tight at full drop during articulation.

the only way your front drive shaft will touch that cross member is if your car is propped up by the chassis and both wheels drop down. under normal use its one wheel up when one wheel is down (ish) so the drive shaft only drops a little and mostly rotates. sway bar once again is probably due to both wheels dropping. iv had mine at full articulation with swaybar and it touches nothing. and i have a 3" ORA lift with corrected arms so my axle is slightly further forward as well.

also after being done up with a rattle gun id check all your bolts as some of them probably have been stripped as i have stripped one of mine by hand let alone with a rattle gun.

my rear shocks rub on my spring seats on the axle but once again iv only seen it when both wheels are dropped when its left on stands on the chassis.

Yea Fatzook, that seems to be the case. I am hard pressed to find the time to take it anywhere that's not on the way to work or a Gold Coast shop. I did expect better from a well known shop and a bloke who has experience with Suzuki's.

After i had got back to work i figured that it would only happen when both the wheels are off the ground and the same deal with the sway bar.

Cheers for the input and now i have a bit of work ahead of me this weekend if the weather is good.

I did get a good laugh when he was taking the car out of the shop... Had to drop most of the air out of the tyres to get it to fit under the hoist :lol:
