I had a look at my vitara's air filter when I got it and thought it was too small as it looked about 5cms too short. I have just serviced my car and purchased a new air filter, making sure it was the right part (1.6 EFI, 5 door, 93 ). I fit the new air filter today to find out it is the same size as the previous one... still about 5cms too short.

My question is
Is this the right air filter for my vitara? The guide in supercheap auto specified to get Z1351 (Ryco filter) but they had no parts for my vitara only the oil filter so I bought a kit online (Specified for my car) It came with the Z1351 air filter but it still doesnt seem to fit properly. Is that how it is supposed to fit?

There are a few different flat element type filters for Vitaras.
Mine isn't easy to get either, can't remember the part no. off the top of my head.
