Thanks dudes, I was seeing if it was any difference from swb, Because I want to set one up longer trips, mainly because you Can fit a good size fuel tank under the tray, and not have jerrys In the cab like I have to now, good idea? |

I'm doing the same Drova! I like fatzooks tank set up but I still want to keep my spare under the tray so i think ill be putting a 70ish L tank in front of the rear axle. I think Gwagen posted a pic of it somewhere. In case I go down the same path as you pete; does that tank fit under the standard tray mounts? Matt |

Very nice, that's plenty of fuel to keep a Zook Going, fits up nice and High and centered!! Well when/if I find one that's what I'll do thanks Am looking at trying to get hold of a drover trayback, (Sentimental value, got drove around in one as a kid) But Would imagine there even harder to find?? |

Fatzook, got any dimensions on the Jackaroo tank? I'd like to see if it'l fit in an LJ81. What generation Jackaroo was it from? What are you after, a resto project or a buy and drive type thing? I know where one is that has a good cab(well might do, the guy said he was gona flip it upside down to get the wheels off it....) and chassis but would need basically everything else. There's another one there that is well stuffed (extremely rusty). I'd say in SW W.A Drover tray backs are more common than 1.3l Sierra traybacks, but those are rare as anyway. I'l keep an eye out for you if you want, I come across my fair share of Suzukis.

A friend of mine runs a 100L custom made tank in his LWB maruti flat tray. Behind the rear axle still. It's SPOA though, which helps for clearance. He runs his spare hard against the rear of the cab with the tray notched out to allow the wheel to sit down above the rear tailshaft. With a standard hilux split rim and tyre in the hole, it still clears his window for 100% view rearwards. I run the exact same tank setup as fatzook in my LWB, mine is from a '93 Jackaroo LWB. Mines also a flattray. I currently don't have a spare wheel mount anywhere, but in the future I will build a fold down rear wheel carrier to hang it out the back, as I don't have a 'comp' tray, but built a conventional one. I will eventually upload pics in my build thread when I do. I had to move tray mounts to fit the tank how I wanted it. I only run 3 tray mounts down either side, but equally spaced them. I'll upload a pic shortly. |

   They are the brackets I made, plus fitted a water tank under the tray also. The jackaroo tank is a great fit, props to Fatzook for finding it! |

Baleno tank would be an awesome fit under a trayback too. Bonus is they are dirt cheap and already have EFI pump. |
