G'day, When I replaced the motor in my '96 coily I never got around to sorting out the vac lines in and around the carb properly so subsequent it has a bit of trouble starting. Scince I am going to sell it soon (mrs decides she wants a hatchback car now Anyway anyone know a good place to take it to fix up the vac lines properly and get her runninh sweet? I know suzistore would be the likely choice but it's a good 40 min drive from Banksia Grove. Alas anyone know the going rate for this kind Of job? Cheers guys. Carl. |

Suzistore would be good, but I understand the distance issue. There is a good carby bloke in wangarra. Dunno if he is still open, but in another life I had some twin webers tuned there. U can see his sign as you come down the hill on ocean reef road, just near them kit homes |

Try these guys: http://www.hotfrog.com.au/Companies/Perth-Carburettor-Specialists Had mine done there and it's been running great ever since. From memory though I think it cost me around $350... (can't find the receipt now and my build up thread doesn't seem to be there anymore) EDIT: still not that close for you though... |

For a good job sometimes you pay...and sometimes you need to travel As i mentioned to primejo07 in his thread viewtopic.php?f=8&t=33037&p=614784&hilit=carby#p614784 If you're thinking of a rebuild....i've heard good reports about Ray Genovese in osborne park for carbies....really likes the old school cars and actually cares unlike alot of other mechanics |
