G16A carby, multipoint FI or TB FI? Multipoint should be around 3 bar or ~42.5psi |

Just carboy. Put on a weber to get the lil thing going while I sort out how to get the big carboys hooked up, and its just pouring fuel in, constant stream. The 32/36 works on the G13a and in the vitara, but the 38s on the G16a just full pure flood ?? |

If the idle screw is less than half screwed In from touching the float may be jammed. Give me a call either way. I want to know that we get you running. |

Standard mechanical pump pressure is 6-9lbs. If you can see fuel coming from above the throttle plates the idle is set too far open and is forcing the transition/mains to supply fuel. Adjust the idle to 1/4 turn in from touching. If the idle is correct I would pop the top off and check the float isn't stuck. |

Got the little thing going, taaa Chris. Took it for its first run, just a light one, make sure everything is in place and as it should be. From a 1.3l with a 32/36 to a 1.6 with 38/38s, goodness, the power is awesome, sandy stuff, 3rd gear, from about 2k revs, and floor it, just total wheel spin. In 4th, it feels like 2nd, pulls well from about 1500rpm 3rd pulls hard up to 7k and still pulling. Now to go down the hills proper. Bit of a hesitation, nothing that some fine tweaking cannot remedy. I love my toy, even more now. Will keep the 31s on for its first proper run, then on go the 35s. |

Sidedrafts are on the kitchen table, the engine bay need alterations to make them fit, and the throttle actuator linkage is designed for a cable coming from right to left, (left hand drive) so I need to nut out some brackets and most likely need a longer throttle cable. I got the 38s because I needed to have a play. Will sort the sidedrafts out asap. Week off isn't long enuf, need equal time. |
