hi I have been having hunting and temperature gauge problems i have replaced thermo stat thinking it was that but still having problems. Hunting only occurs when car is warm, temerature gauge rises and falls. Any ideas???? |

Air trapped in cooling system. May need bleeding out.??? Or a faulty sender or wire giving false readings."??? Exhaust gas leaking into coolant. Hope not. Get a cooling pressure check. |

I assume a G16 EFi? As Chris said, check cooling system. |

Had similar issues. I found that my heater core was blocked. Flush your heater core, make sure its not blocked. Fill coolant, then start it with the radiator cap off. Let it run for about 20 mins. You will get lots of bubbles and even some surging while it throws up all the bubbles. If your heater core is unblockable, bypass it. See how you go. |
