Post subject:  F10a vs F8a camshaft.
I've read they're different, what's the difference?

Something tells me the F8a one is designed for more high RPM power. :lol:

Is there any advantage in using an F8a cam in an F10a or vice versa? Has anyone tried it?

Put them side by side.
If all the bumps are in same place,
and keyways etc are same, then it should work.
Never tried it myself, but thats what I do to decide on cams.

The firing order and the head are the same so I don't see why it wouldn't work/couldn't be made to work. I don't need to put in a new cam, I was just wandering if there were any performance gains to be had by doing so. :)

The difference is the f8a camshaft is designed different on the snout . It uses another housing bolted to the front of the head which houses the cam seal and uses a different rear timing belt case. As for performance , it has the same lift and duration as the f10a camshaft
