Hi guys. Well; after a nasty little incident involving a collapsed ball joint a couple of weeks ago, I have had to order bits to replace the passenger side Ball joint / Control arm assembly. I figured while the front end was in pieces and given the fact the beast is nearly 13, I might as well do both and save any headaches down the track.

Has anybody done this themselves? I am going to attempt it this weekend. I have spring compressors to sedate the lifted springs (The bastards are that tight in there they are bowing outward! LOL)

What else do I need to lookout for? And is this something I should be attempting myself? :) :)

simple job. easier if you remove the cvs so the control arms can swing right down to get springs in/out

What you end up paying for them.

I did mine about 2-3 months ago and it was cheaper to get them from the states than locally. $250 for both sides delivered to Melb.

I paid about $350 for both sides through a mate that works in the industry. I looked at the ones from the states (Rock auto parts) but I needed them straightaway so I didn't have much choice in the end.
