I have a 16 valve G16b in my little Vitara. It started using water and its going straight in the oil. I hoped it was just the head gasket, but replacing that doesnt seem to have fixed it. Where do cracks ocur in these? any pics? Are they repairable if it is a crack? I have another head that is unknown condition so knowing where to look for issues would be a great help. Cheers Maxx |

The commonly crack between the welsch plugs and the valve guides. I went through a few at $70 per pressure test, before I bit the bullet and bought a brand new one.. |

If the crack is huge you will see it but no guarantees. 2 out of the 3 duds I had you couldn't see the cracks. |
