On sunday I towed my brothers car for 50 metres and ever since my transfer case rattles like crazy is there any common known reasons its a 96 sierra.

Rattles as in rattles inside or the stick moves around?

Yeah mounts are tight just double checked them.

Bent transfer case mounting arms would be my guess, or, broken mounting rubbers.

Mounts look fine no damage slight wear in rubber dampene, its doing it in 2h 4H &4L starts at 20 kph.

Its not always really obvious if the long side arm has twisted, but when they do it puts the angles on the drive shafts out and causes vibrations like you describe.

But you were towing a car which puts a lot more stress on the drive line.

Still sounds like a tcase mount. Put it in low range, 1st gear, put your foot on the brake and slowly let the clutch out until it stalls. If the tcase stick moves a shit load you have a buggered mount
