G'day,

Doeas anyone have an alternator for 1.6 carby engine? I've just noticed that mine is dying. Dashboard control light is dimly lit when idling, turns off when revs go up to roughly 1500-2000RPM. With lights on wipers barley move, radio doesn't play loud. I've checked voltage. It gives 13.8V when revs are high, but not always. 12.7 when idling, that's just battery voltage.
I wouldn't panic, BUT I HAVE TO DRIVE BACK TO CANBERRA ON THIS COMING FRIDAY. I live in a shit-hole with no possibilities to get any parts. I can't go to brisbane or gold coast during the week. Many people did falcon or Mitsubishi alternator upgrade and if anyone have an second hand alternator in brisbane or gold coast area I will drive to your place tomorrow and buy it off you. I don't know any shops in brisbane, they'll be close on sunday anyway.
Otherwise I need to take my chances and drive to Canberra with dying one.

cheers

Kris

If someone can confirm that i can swap pulley from g16 alternator to the one from sierra g13 or they not interchangeable. I can't fabricate anything here or even drill. If it's just bolts on than I will pick it up mate.
