Guys just wanted to share my experiences with anyone who may be thinking of buying suspension kits/armour/replacement parts etc for their zook and wondering where to shop. Now I am a big fan of keeping my hard earned Aussie bucks in the country where I live and love....BUT, I recently purchased a 3" lift kit for my sons swb vitara and 3" lift kit with fully adjustable shocks and all the underbody armour they make for my Jimny and dare I say with a big ticket purchase like this in one foul swoop......yes I shopped around quite a bit, finally deciding on a uk based company JIMNYBITS. Now I definitely was a little concerned with sending a bucketload of my gold coins overseas etc so I started conversing with Russ at jimnybits and found him to be extremely helpful answering my 2000+ emails of stupid repetitive emails so I finally laid down the cash. The goods arrived around a week later and all bits are of a extremely high quality and everything fitted first go no hassles! I saved myself enough money buying this through jimnybits instead of other dealers and prices I was quoted that the savings almost paid for my transfer reduction gears from trialjimny! I am highly impressed with JB and would recommend them to all and sundry who may be a little hesitant shopping OS or just not quite sure where to go. Give them a try you won't be disapointed!
I would also like to state I have no connection with Jimnybits apart from being a recent customer for both our zooks.

Bits4Vits gets my recommendation for Vitara stuff.
Think they sell Jimny Bits stuff too.

I'm a fan of keeping it local too, but it makes my blood boil when the local bloke tries to rip you off blind with double the price of what's available overseas and similar postage prices and delivery times. Loyalty isn't worth what it used to be these days, always shop around.

I'll vouch for trialjimny too... Takes a little time and can be a little daunting, but they were extremely helpful :)

Be smart and shop at LROR and a few parts fit your jimny ;) ie sierra gearing, rear disconnect, air lockers, Heim's, chromo CVs etc...

I needed a Flex-hone for my Vitara block. Was quoted $110 + $100 postage from tghe flex-hone supplier in melbourne. Got it from a mob in New York for $50 delivered to my door. The postage was also $10!!! $10 in Oz to travel 200k's. the same from NY to travel 10,000k's. 8O 8O 8O

Is it any wonder we shop OS!!!

Hmmm I used to think that way about Internet sales but as long as your buying from reputable companies it should be fine and not everyone has part suppliers nearby or open the hours they can access a shop. I know for one I ain't takin no days off to buy bits for a car unless it's broken and needed for transport.
