Post subject:  Vitara calmini 3 inch and swaybars

To all the gurus who have installed the 3 inch clamini kit before me, i was wondering if the factory front sway bar is supposed to linr up in thecalmini arms because mine dont... Im just hoping i havent done somehing drastically wrong because its me myself and i for the last 3 days fitting it lmao.

should line up as per normal, have you got it sitting on the ground or up on jack stands?

i never reinstalled mine.

Mine didn't line up till we took it off the car stands, I tried driving with out the swaybar for a day but it felt to swayey so I put it back on

That is probably it i think the front of mine is sitting a bit to high itsa seems, wont be driving to far with front wheels\ / and a toe in until u get me some camber bolts and a wheel allingment mondat

yeah, it will need to be on the ground or the wheels just touching the ground to get it to line up.

you should be able to give it a quick toe & go wheel alingment on the garage floor using a tape measure & couple broom sticks or anything straight with a bit of length to it. at least then you wont scrub the hell out of the tyres on the way to the aligners, also the camber can be a bit exaggerated with it up on stands & the suspension at full droop.

once you get it on the ground & have a go at getting the toe in looking about right then drive it up & down the driveway as the wheels tend to hold a bit of +'ve camber from being up on stands.

I had to flip the swaybar ends around to get them to bolt back to the arms:

After ya take it for a bit of a drive it will settle, try to find some speed bumps to go over a few times that will bring the front down quicker

I have to admit however after ajusting the toe out even with tyres like this \ / and no sway bar iys drives pretty good feels a bit floaty sometimes .

Was lifted before lol once the wheel allignment is done she will be sweet and the sway bar can stay out for now... Unfortunatly wont get to test it for a few weeks =(
