Has anyone given the extreme struts from outdoorauto4x4 in queensland a go.
I was wondering what ppl think about them? And how the compare to the ome struts and the Dobson struts

I have just fitted extreme 3" front struts to 96 swb vitara but not out door auto brand they are from jimnybits. Ride quality is excellent, travel is excellent, can't fault them at all, not to stiff not to firm well behaved on road and awesome offroad. Only thing I found was I thought the camber/caster adjustment hole would be enough adjustment with 3" lift without offset bolts.....wrong. Need the bolts as the wheels stick out a heap at the top and in at the bottom pretty drastically at full adjustment. No big deal really, $40 will fix the drama as I am just awaiting delivery. I know it's not the brand in question but hope this helps as another possibility?

How do the CV hold up on full droop?

Cv joints are at a pretty hectic angle but have held up so far, going to replace them soon asi don't want to break one and blame the lift because of a worn part, would rather start with new and see how it goes. This vitara gets a workout EVERY weekend and by no means is it babied at all with regular mud work, wheel lifting, rock steps etc it and my jimny both get driven like they were stolen.

U will probly smash a new cb before u will a suzuki one
I recon the new ones are crap
They have 3 bearings rather then the balls and cage

i had a look at the jimnybit struts and they are described pretty much the same as the oda ones with the camber adjustment hole.
So you needed to buy camber bolts as well???, "im looking to put them in a 96 swb as well so it issues you have will be the same"

Yup I would bet exactly the same! I just fitted the camber bolts and it helped a great deal. Looking at it still not perfect and without a bit of grinding to make more adjustment off back of arm where it fits into strut don't think can get much more out of it? Will pull it all apart on weekend when I have some time and work it out!
