You will need to remove backing plate, 4 bolts behind and disconnect handbrake cable and brakeline and put the wheel back on and give it a good tug, axle should come out. Making sure car is stable first of course. Wheel bearing is probably shot, should probably do both sides. |

If the car is PROPERLY SUPPORTED lie on the ground and give the wheel a good kick. |

Or just get the longest extension you have and slip it between the backing plate and diff housing and tap on the end. |

Chuck a spare rim or hit your current steely with a rubber mallet. It won't take long before it comes out. The four bolts on the backing plate will also need to be undone |

Is the gear for the abs sensor reusable? A few people have been telling me that it would be needed to be cut off along with the bearing and new ones pressed on? Doesn't sound right to me and none of the bearing kits seem to come with a new one??? |

The speed sensor ring/gear will be reusable. I cannot see why not, unless it looks damaged. I think from memory it has spots of weld holding it, so they will be cut/ground first of course, then pulled. I am pretty sure heating with a blow torch will expand the ring and bearing to allow removal. Use an engineering sealant to reseal the backing plate. Clean the old sealant properly without gauging the surfaces. |
