Post subject:  HELP! G13ba convo clutch trouble and sj50 tail shaft issues

Hey guys, I'm in the midst of completing my zook gti intime to go to Fraser next Wednesday everything is in and running I have two problems the first being I was told that's the pressure plate from the gti was the same as the Sierra's but the plate was different. So I installed the clutch plate from the zook with the pressure plate from the gti, I have no gears like the clutch is in all the time. I still have full clutch pedal movement but when you turn the tail shaft you can here the clutch plate turning. Can someone confirm that I need to use a Sierra clutch kit?
Second problem I started with two identical zooks both sj50 high tops, both grey, one is an 84 the other is an 86. I bought one about 2 years ago with 31's, rancho 9000 all round, extended shackles blah blah blah it had a fair bit of rust though after blowing the carby motor I stumbled across the new zook the 86model completely stock not running minimal rust and ive converted all the good stuff from the 84 onto the 86, now getting to my problem the 86 model had no tail shaft so I pulled the one from the 84 and tried to fit it but it's a different bolt pattern the 84 has a larger bolt pattern On the diff end, how can I find the right shaft ASAP, can I just pull the rear flange off the shaft and use a flange from the jack shaft ?

I used the sierra flywheel and clutch, works fine.

Yes, you can swap the flanges over.

Still got the same clutch issue!!! I bought a new exeedy hd clutch kit today, pulled the box out after work put it all back in as soon as you start to do the box up it goes from not being able to turn the shaft at all (like the clutch is out) to free spinning like the clutch is in its like the clutch plate is to high or flywheel is to thick and is pushing the throw out bearing in as I do the box up . I'm currently using a Sierra flywheel and clutch kit. Right before I gave up tonight I had a look at the difference between the gti fly wheel and the Sierra one, and the Sierra one is about 10mm thicker than the gti one. I think I'm going to try the gti flywheel tomorrow arv.

Any body else had this drama.

I've got another zook at mine and you can see through the inspection hole on the bell housing that the current flywheel I'm using is the same as that zooks g13b carby one so f?cks me what's going on

whats the spline count on the gearbox?
does the sierra flywheel have a 6mm(ish) step?

Not sure what you mean about the flywheel

theres two types of 1.3 sierra clutches and flywheels. (that i know of anyway) being a 20 spline gearbox you need a stepped flywheel. where the clutch plate fits on the flywheel, the flywheel is indented about 6mm where the clutch plate touches the flywheel, (does that even make sense?). An 18 spline gearbox needs a flat flywheel.
the two flywheels are obviously different when you put them next to eachother.

The gti flywheel is flat yeah?
