Hey all im trying to get my chromos together.... first up how do you get the circlip over into its groove thing? And then does the cv just slide on or is there a trick to it(I went on youtube and could only find 1 video of putting it together but the clip was already on there and he put a hose clamp around the clip so it gos into the cv easyer and the hose clamp slides down?) Is there a video on youtube for putting them together that i missed? cheers |

You need to pull the complete hub off and then fit the CV in the housing and slide the hub onto the CV. It will not fit in the normal way. You need to pull the swivel hub seals off. |

You put the clip on, put the CV over the axle and hit it on. Takes a bit but it will go. Short sharp hit on the CV with a hammer and lump of wood. |

I just pushed mine on by hand and they clicked in place. I can't seem to pull them off with ease either, so im guessing they are on correctly? |

Make sure to grease the cv while the 2 are apart. It's much easier than with the axle in there. |

x everything people have said. Holding the axle vertical on a piece of wood, place cv on top of axle, lift up assembly then drop onto wood, make sure the axle hits the wood...Gravity will do its work. Depends on how tight the splines are and how strong the clip is, alittle more force may be needed. Once its clipped on, thats it. Toyota cvs are similar, i found a youboob vid of how to get it apart a while ago. Wood on vice, make cv hit wood but not axle by holding it up and dropping onto it, clip will pop in or break, and cv is free from axle. |

Yes, once they are on it's rather hard to get them off. |
