Hey guys,

My shocks are about had it so i been reading heaps about different lift kits etc. Lots of people mentioning the Jimny bits kit with the Pro Comp shocks.

Im only looking at the 50mm kit but I got a question on springs. At the moment I have 50mm King Springs, these seem pretty harsh ON road although i havnt got anything to compare to. Also I have stuff all flex, would this be helped more by new springs or new shocks or both. Does anyone know how the King Springs might compare with those from the JB kit.

So I guess what im asking is should I just use the spings I have and get new shocks or get the whole 50mm JB kit for better off roading and possibly a smoother ride on road??

I ran kings for a why with 215 km2. Then got a 75mm jb coils and procomp shocks..
then i moved to kings in the rear and my 75mm jb coils in there front. Yes jb coils are a softer ride but, but now i run 30km2 with kings and procomp shocks, td bushes and castor corrected arms.
My jimny flexs better with the kings in then it did on the jb 75mm coils.

I would try a different shock first.

So would I be able to run the 75mm procomp shocks with the 50mm king springs or will this be bottoming out the shock?
Would be nice to just get the full 75mm kit and then try each set of springs and see what suits.

If you can streeeetch the budget get the JB AVO fully adjustable shocks, this gives you the flexibility to adjust to what you want without being stuck with what you get. I baulked at first but thought it through and sure am glad I did! I can go from jelly on a plate soft to fairly harsh on road ride with a twist of a knob... All of 13seconds of my time, oh and I run JB 75 lift, radius arms blah blah as well. I talked my brother into spending the extra coin on his 4" tough dog kit for the pootrol, fully adjustable shocks were an extra couple hundred on a $2300 lift kit, he was the same sceptical.... But now he loves his adjustables!
When I bought the 75 lift kit for the Vitara I cheaped out and kicking myself now.. Bit to hard in the rear and kinda softish in the front.... But no adjustables= no choice!

So with these is there still adjustment in height by swapping springs, will the shocks work with both 50mm and 75mm. I guess I'm not real keen on going to much lift when I'm only running 215/75's and can't see myself ever going bigger than 235's.

Not sure if any shock will work properly with swapping out 50 and 75mm lift springs but the AVO ones are built to your specs whatever length required.

ive got shock relocating brackets and 75mm shocks and my shocks dont top or bottom out with kings
but i have coil bind befor shocks bottom out.

Love the relocation brackets got them myself, they don't work to well with shock sliders though. I would advise to shoot Russ at JB a message an see what he reckons.
