As you can see the bushings on the axel side of my rear radius arm have seen better days,
Image

Iv had little luck finding a store that can get them, had a quick look on ebay and found these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Suzuki-Jimny-Sierra-Rear-Radius-Arm-Axle-Bush-Kit-SuperPro-Poly-/330774373035?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d03b062ab#ht_1972wt_824 but they are the plastic ones and dont seem to have the metal ring like the ones i have now do..is that just the new design or am i looking at the wrong thing?
Anyone have any suggestions on other bushing that will fit?

Sj80 coily sierra..97

Cheers for any wisdom

In general, poly suspension bushes are a terrible idea for a radius arm suzuki - they are almost guaranteed to cause the axle brackets to break. If there's been some breakthrough and someone now makes poly bushes that are comparable to the stock rubber ones great - but I'm not aware of any.

The reasons that performance road car owners prefer poly is exactly the reasons rubber is superior for a 4WD.

I believe there is a source for replacement rubber bushes.

Steve.

I'd have to agree with Steve, I replaced mine for poly bushes and all I've done is broken diff brackets.

Funny you should mention that as my brackets ARE broken, which also ripped the rubber bushes aswell, hence the need for replacements...

I was led to believe the rubber bushes had been outdated and where superseded by the poly ones which where just as flexible? or not?

anyone got any sources or links?
