cost me $500 to lock both my diffs with lockrights, i was quoted $4900.00 for arb lockers fitted, couldn't get them supply only. lockrights do some funny things on the road, if i am not careful with tyre pressures my car will randomly leap sideways  . they can also be fairly noisy although mine are ok.
i have owned cars with air lockers and they are a good thing however i couldn't justify the money they cost when fitted to a sierra. i have done around 20000ks and have not broken anything that would be related to the lockers, however i am fairly sympathetic to my drive line. having said how good lockers are i would sort out gearing first.

the local arb dealer is a anus. 1400 per center and 650 for compressor and 1450 to fit.
it cost me $1830 for 2 ome leaf springs and four shocks for a challenger.
that's the downside to living in a remote place with high wages.

I had one in the front of my sierra and worked awsome never had a problem with it!

BUT you have to realise when your front wheels are on off the ground then they grab again the shock is huge through the drive line and can cause breakages alot easyer!

Also with out power steering was pretty hard but you get used to it!

With my vit i am goin air lockers!(Already got the rear!)

If i was doin a sierra again i would lockright the rear and air locker the front just for the turning really!
