Hey all i put chromos in the Sierra... I had. Rear diff with lock right in the shed and I just bolted it in put the chromos in and I was set!

BUT I was thinking.... This means the teeth are spinning the opposite way to normal.... Is this ok?

Good pickup - Yes, it is normal, and it's exactly the same as every other 4WD with a "low pinion" front diff. (There's lots of them) and it's the way your sierra came from the factroy - both front and rear gearsets are identical, the front drives on the "coast" side.

Coil sierras and Jimny's use a "high pinion" or "reverse rotation" front diff. (As much for tie rod clearance as the added strength)

A conventional gearset is about 20% weaker when used in the front. This is generally fine because there isn't as much load on the front end as the rear.
