Yeah should be piece of cake... There's a guy in eBay that sells bearing kits for a good price... I can give you a hand to get the rear axles etc out and I have the tool to get the front hub undone but haven't had a go at them yet. I did my rear bearings last week Best way is to pull them yourself and get someone to press off and on the bearings for you |

Not to hard a job, but without a bearing tool and press forget it.If you get stuck I am at Hamlyn Terrace and have all the above and a torque wrench. Jimny front bearings are exactly the same kit as 97 vitara swb. I done the Vitara 2 weekends ago and ordered the front kit for jimny, checked the jimny weekend just gone and both were loose not even finger tight! Replacing them this weekend!I have noticed someone on Egay selling Jimnybits gear, the bearing tool as well, handy bit of gear! |

You could probably use 2 screwdrivers or hammer and chisel etc but if you have access to the bearing tool this is by far the best and easiest option and also allows for precise torque settings. |

I did mine without a tool. Grind off the collar, bang the new one on. |

Dr_Snapid wrote: I did mine without a tool. Grind off the collar, bang the new one on. The tool is used on the front wheel bearings. What collar did you grind off to replace the front bearings?? BenT does sell the tool through this site, also through E-bay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Suzuki-Jimny ... 1c2bf10313 He makes his own, and is not re-selling the Jimnybits tool: http://www.jimnybits.co.uk/shop/jimny/s ... od_46.html The locknut is done up to 220Nm. You could possibly get it off using a hammer and chisel or screwdriver, but I doubt you'd get it done up acurately without the tool and a torque wrench. |

the front Jimny tool is very simalar to the Vitara tool, have a look at my thread and see what ur in for, its piss easy, but if trying to replace bearings in the front wheel hubs, have no idea, when i received the front hubs it says its a non servicable item and bearing are preset and not removable. Changing the full hub is a heck of alot easier than trying to push the bearings out of them. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=36274&p=664288#p664288 |
