So after looking at the standard shift pattern and the Twisted TT 2 low kit I've come up with this diagram below with modified shifter shafts.
The modifications are only limited to the shafts and don't require the gear stick to be modified.
The centre detent ball is still in place and will lock the gears so that neutral has to be selected each time if you want to change between 2wd and 4wd.
Any thoughts or better ideas?
