What is your reason for wanting a coil rear? What sort of link setup do you want? Radius arm? 3-link A-frame? 4 link? 3-link + panhard? Will the car be road driven? How much travel are you after? Will you be coiling the front? What sort of terrain do you drive on? What sort of fabrication/welding experience do you have? Doing a coil conversion is a BIG job and alot of things need to be taken into consideration before you even think about going near the car with a grinder.... Take a look through the rigs section to give you some idea on what is involved in doing a coil conversion. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=30877&start=300 viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13839 viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2072&start=420 |

just trawl the forums for a while to get a feel of what people are doing. i would seriously suggest a good 3 months of solid reading and researching. checkout zukikrawlers.com and pirate.com and here obviously and research research research! its always better to read more than you have to than not enough. |

What diffs are you going to run with 37's? What WB are you looking at on 33's? |

Going through the linking system atm and i tell you its alot harder then you think. Id start with alot of research first then a 4 link calculator before you even touch the car. |

Is it sprung over with lifted springs ? If so replace them with some stock leaves to lower it or remove extended shackles if it has them. If you start removing leaves you will be more susceptible to axle wrap. |
