Hi everyone,

I have a 92 Sierra tintop, i brought it with 2" body lift and some bald 31s but everything else stock standard. I have since replaced the tyres with Mickey Ts MTZ but just wondering what my next move should be as it struggles with speed With 31s but also scrubs too. So should I be gearing it next to get ratio back to normal and hill climbs betterr or get more clearance for the tyres with a 2" efs spring lift?

Any help would be great.
Cheers

How much does it scrub? If only a little, Hit the offending areas with a hammer.

Get gears.

Get gears. Then smash ur guards in with a hammer. Or do a virtual lift. I have a efs kit, I'm yet to really test it out. However I have the 1.6efi in my hardtop sierra and I'd love gears. I had it in lowrange the other day and it was shithouse.

Yeah I done a bit of beating on the seams and guards that are prutuding and are in the way and still scrubs but not bad. What gears should I go? 6.5s from LROR? Another question cause I have a 2" body lift and If I go another 2" in the springs would I need to extended brakes lines and put driveline spacers in?

Springs can't stop tyres from rubbing, buy gears.

Go as big as you can with gears!
Are your rims the right offset?
My Jimny rubs ever so lightly and only when at full compression in front/steering at full lock, the 31,s rub lightly under headlight bucket on the body crossmember that holds the front together. This pisses me off 2% of the time I drive it, on the other hand 31,s with stock gearing pisses me off 110% of the time! Even when I am not driving it! Just pulled transfer case out now getting the trialjimny über expensive reduction gears fitted in the morning..... If not low enough for my liking the box will be for sale and Sierra case with the BIGGEST gearing I can get will be fitted!
Moral...... GEARS!

My 85 NT with 31"muddies still rubbed but since fitting EFS WITH 50+ lift the rubbing has stopped, and the ride has improved out of sight. I have a GTI, Twin auto lockers and the best mod has been the 5.14 gears from LROR. On road gearing is good and off road particularly in mud, it is almost unstoppable.
