low powered H4 globes in stock headlights. (DO NOT USE THESE FOR GLOBES WITH RATINGS OVER 75W,
YOU WILL FRY/FUSE YOUR STOCK WIRING)

The white light is so much cleaner than the dingy yellow of the halogen. Very snug fit, just cut off the protuding tabs off the modern H4, still pops in and out
Bit of backround. Many years ago i replaced a lowly busted 45/40w at repco... attendant was suprised they still had the 'beetle' bulb and that it was listed for about $2.50. The headlight rusted out cause of glass and water so i replaced the whole unit with a second hand one. The second hand one had a 60w/55w h4 halogen globe in it with the same base as the beetle globe. Tried repco, supercheap, auto one, autobahn etc and no one had this creature or could tell me a freaking part number for it. Ran it with the other 45/40w for years, it threw more light.
One of the suzuki outfitters in the states had super special xenon globes in the same power rating that fit the stock lheadlights for $55+ for the bulbs. Not paying that when they aren't easily
It made me go look for the right base xenons. no luck, bought some cheap ones on ebay to see if i could swap out the base. Never got round to doing it as i didn't want to bust my existing globes.
i also got a second pair of headlights with globes too ages back for $10 and only realised recently that all though they look like 45/40w globes they are 75w/75w.
Anyway after seeing some UK ebay sellers listing H4 halogen globes with the 'right' base for suzuki's i did some more searching and found out the base is P45T and the newer stuff is P43T, Ca'n't seem to find a decent power consumption in xenon for stock wiring, (or that match tight-arse price) so i now am using the adapters. Some might say i should just got the snazzy crystal headlights that take the modern p43t but i have a thing for using up old perishibles like globes/fuses etc rather than binning them . this way i have a few spare globes to pop in if they burn out and matching headlights to put in if i bust one or it rust out like last time.
