Hey guys, just wiring up spotlights to be dedicated switch only (not high beam) but im having problems. When i put power to the pos wire they come on. When i put power to the switch terminal of the relay it clicks (closes the circuit) but no light. I have a wire from the pos terminal of the battery, through a 15amp fuse to terminal 30 (battery power for relay) I have the terminal 85 to the earth terminal on the battery. I have the pos wire from the lights to the acc out terminal-87 Finally i have connected the 86 term (switch) to the battery to activate the switch. No joy. it clicks closed but thats it. relay is 40amp automotive normally ope maybe the relay is too something? The globes are only drawing 5amps (55watts) |

Check fuse. You've done the rest of it right. Should put it to high beam too, pita otherwise. |

Legal requirement, here anyway. Also pain when your driving and you have to flick two switches.or maybe I'm lazy |

Like shandy said that is all right might be time to bust out the test light and work your way along. After all that though you might as well order a loom off Royce. |

so you created more work for yourself instead of working out how to wire up spotties to headlights that are neg switched. |
