Post subject:  Dimensions of 98 vitara chassis

Hi all I am in need of some dimensions for a 98 swb 3 door vitara. I am told that it is a SV420 or widetrack version.
I am building a A-Frame for a elderely person who is a long way from me and I cant find the dimensions for the distance between chassis rails and for any hole centres that might be in the front chassis rails. I am hoping someone here can help.

Could be an SE, everything looks familiar but I can't really make out the details, especially the front.

Isn't the SV620 the same as theSV420 at the front? You might find one of these locally to measure up.

Yeah, but looks more like a LWB - the shorties have a tubular front crossmember that I can't make out in the pic. The dimensions would help if they were legible.

Top corner of the drawing says Tracker - if I assume that it was taken from a Chevy/Geo Tracker manual, that would make it an SE series chassis. Trackers were SE416 upto 1999 when the SQ series chassis was released - there was no SV series Tracker.

Thanks for all your replies am still looking for dimensions (There hard to find). I have been looking into these A-Frames for towing car's behind RV's and there seems to be a lot of interest in them. I would like to get a catalogue of Mounting Bracket for various models if any one can send me dimensions and pics for any small car that is commonly towed I would be happy to pay $20 for each set of accurate one's, you can email me at stacyhall72@gmail.com if your interested.
Of special interest to me is the Vitara's, Grand Vitara's, Jimny, Sierra plus cars like the daihatsu terios etc.

Sorry Hally, I forgot... this vehicle is fitted with a 2" bodylift, but the bumper mounts are unchanged apart from an extra hole in the chassis horn for my bull bar.

I get 848mm outside & 758mm inside of the chassis "horns"

I forgot to take one with the bumper on..

Let me know if you need any other info.
