Hi im in the process of changing my timing belt (g13ba 96-98)
The tensioner in the new kit seens to be 5mm or so bigger than
the old one. Ive added three pics for comparison. Would this be
a problem and shouldi just use my old one?

There are two different timing belt kits, one for square tooth pulleys and one for round tooth pulleys, make sure you have the correct kit for your engine, your model should be round tooth, compare the new and old belts to see if they have square or rounded teeth. The kits are not interchangeable unless you change pulleys as well, round tooth kit is usually a bit more expensive.

Yeh i got the round tooth, 89 teeth and 25mm wide, just worried
about this tensioner pulley. Cant see it being to much of a issue
being a bit bigger, just means less turns to get the right tension.
