I have had a trouble with my new g16b conversion in my 92 sierra every time I reach highway speeds. After sitting on 90-100kmh for roughly half a hour or more my check engine turns on and flashes code 13 (bridging the diagnostic plug) My understanding is that is O2 sensor, but if I turn the car off and back on its clear. The light does not come on around town or 4wding only highways. What could be causing this?

A bit more information, it's a g16b from a vitara (distributor) and the O2 sensor is a single wire type. It has jimmy g13b extractors to a 2 1/4 exhaust

It normally takes some time for the o2 sensor error to appear, as the Ecu only refers to it once the engine is warm and cruising.

Yep o2 sensor. My vit was doing the same thing

I forgot to mention its a brand new o2 sensor on a fully rebuilt engine both 6000km old

Check you engine and O2 sensor grounding and make sure there isn't any exhaust leaks upstream of the sensor
