hey all, thanks in advance for reading this,
my sierra just played up pretty bad, it has a 1.6mpfi in it, i was just driving down the highway when it started losing power and struggled to even keep momentum, after a few minutes of this it came good, well good enough to drive at 100kph, but it missed a few beats and was down on power, i got it to my mums where it played up again and just stalled, i left it for about 5mins and it started and idled fine again. i think this is a fuel pump, if anyone else knows more about the issue im all ears.
does anyone have a spare fuel pump or be able to help me out at all?

So what fuel tank are you using?
Is your fuel filter blocked?
Are you getting fuel at the rail? Return also?

Yes as fat zook said. Disconnect the fuel in line to the injector rail and get someone to hit the ignition a few times and see if fuel comes out. You could even disconnect it after the filter providing the pump is before the filter. If no fuel comes through you have a blockage. My zook did this with the g16b. I have 2 pumps. My prepump had a micron filter before it and it was blocked up!

hey guys thanks again for your assistance.
i disconnected the fuel line after the fuel filter and before the filter, it was the same both times, but i remember last year that when i had a line disconnected that fuel shot out with some serious force, just then it came out steady, but not with the high pressure i was expecting

Yeah the fuel should fire across the room.
On the end of the fuel pump, there is a little filter bag. Its possible that this is blocked/ caked with shit.
Might be worth having a look there if you thing the fuel pressure is a bit low.
