Well I started up the vit this morning and had a check around the engine bay.. and i found myself some nice cracks in the top tank. It's cracking all over so its a definate replacement. Now, my question is whether or not to get a custom PWR/aussie desert cooler radiator & get rid of my engine fan & replace with thermo/s.

Has anyone done this on their sierra/vitara? Should i bother with it or should I just get an OE replacement?

Whats the average cost of one of these alloy radiators? An OE one is around the $300 mark.

Cheers guys!

the vit radiator is a good unit, and the engine fan usually works best at keeping the motor at its optimum temp.

I'd go to a rad shop and see what they can do. As long as your core is OK they should be able to replace a tank.
