I'm making an adaptor plate so I can fit a 45mm throttle body to my manifold. I've used a jigsaw with an aluminium blade to get the general shape right, and I also bought a carbide burr bit which was apparently rated for aluminium use.

The burr bit is now clogged... I should have known it was going to happen, but I took the chance. Anyway - does anyone have a method of cleaning out ali from clogged bits?

And use soap on the burr when using it

Scriber, wire brush then spray the thing with trefolox. will still clog up but not so quick.

Look here for the differnece pics of alloy vs steel. If you go to long it will just form a big alloy blob over the whole burr and you will be cursing all day.

Wire wheel worked a treat. It seems slow and steady is the go - too much heat in the ali and it sticks to the bit like a mofo.
