Hi guys,
Today I installed a saffari snorkel on my coily, I plumbed it straight into the air box replacing all the stock piping.
But now my car is idling really rough if at all.
Would this have something to do with that valve on the original piping? This is my first thought, but for the day I drove around with no piping at all due to lack of pipe it ran fine, any help is appreciated.

Replace your fuel filter and clean the carby, can pretty much gaurantee it's a blocked idle jet.

In regards to the valve on the original piping, did you block the vacuum hose off?
If not, that could be your problem.

On a further note
Without the original thermal intake system, you may have carby icing issues in cold moist conditions (which is what we have experienced in nsw, vic and sa over the last few days). You will notice a gradual drop in power, usually at highway speeds, eventually you will lose enough power you will conk out. Wait 30 secs or so and itll run fine for a while.

Also, for to avoid issues in the future, buy a $2-4 motorbike fuel filter and install between fuel pump and carby.

The extra length the air needs to travel to get to the carby is greater now That you have added a snorkel you just need to turn the idle up a bit.

All good guys chucked some carbie cleaner in and all is good, but of dirt or something might have fallen in, thank you for all your feed back. And yes all vacuum hoses are sealed or on.
