Leave the shims out. Take your foot off the accelerator when you want to turn. |

The Spartan don't use shims, and instructions say remove original stock shims. (Which can hide and appear to be not there) |

I'm surprised you didn't give Him the link to your write up christover, it's what I used to do my install, heaps more helpful than the instructions that came with the locker viewtopic.php?f=17&t=15661 |

I use nulon 80/90 in both my diffs (front Spartan, rear Lockrite) No nasty noises from mine in road use. Occassional clunk out of front end in off road 3 point turns (Though selecting 2wd usually avoids that) I am hard of hearing, so may be different to others. But can't hear noises over engine and normal drive train sounds. Except for that occassional front end clunk. |

Helps a bit. But you really need to just drive it until it wears in. If its brand new, its gonna clunk like a bitch for a while yet. |

Mine clunks more now than it did when it was new... Either that or it was that tight when I first put it in that it didn't unlock at all?!! Maybe time to change the diff oil. Anyone want to weld a nut on my diff filler plug for me, I rounded out the hole last time I went to change the oil |

Nath if you can get it to Leichhardt (where I met you after Coffin) when I'm in town we could zap a nut on for you. Timing will be the issue. |

Cheers mate, but I've got a stick welder at home, I just can't weld for shit (and I've been too lazy Dan, I don't think it needs shimming, it's a bit noisy but its certainly not undriveable |
