Knock up a cardboard box the size of the n70zz and see if you've got clearance? |

Yes it can be made to fit. The metal tray is open at the ends and will allow for a bigger battery but the plastic base that the stock battery sits in is too small. So very easy to make fit....just snip the sides out of the plastic base. |

The plastic tray collects any spilled electrolyte (battery acid) and allows it to evaporate withoute destroying the sheet metal. |

Thanks fellas. I will cut up a battery box for a new tray. Are there any issues with disconnecting the battery? Does any magic stuff fall out? Will the wireless still work? |

From memory you have around 3 minutes to reconnect the battery before the ECU resets. You can also get ECU Memory saver things that clip onto the bat terminals so can take your time, or just get a set of jumper leads and connect it to the battery  or even a jumper battery clipped onto the car bat terminals.. One thing i hate is having to retrain my ecu and also reprogram the radio etc.

Not sure but doubt it, possibly on the stereo, but if did usually they are written in the manual if have it. If really concerned, I think a ECU, Clock, Radio Memory Saver may be your best option, usually plugs into the Cig lighter when changing the bat, available at most auto stores. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Computer-Mem ... vi-content |

No everything will wprk fine just the radio will say its doing somthing so just let it do it and all sweet. Thats it. I put a pretty big battery in the black one before i sold it. I measured up the battery tray and got one to suit. |

I believe they're ALL vented - even the so called maintance free VRLA (valve regulated lead acid) batteries - we use them on Uninterruptible Power Supply systems and you do not want to see what happens when a vent gets plugged. I'm running a maintenance free Exide in my GV and yes, you do get electrolyte residue from it. |

I know what happens when someone welds in a UPS room with lead acid batteries, KABOOOOM hole blown through a concrete wall and two toasted guys. There are Gell ones coming out that are fully sealed you can crank from. and then ya have the optima's. I have a massive repco battery made by Century, NS70 something, been the best bat so far, I would of loved a Optima but a bit out of my price range. |

Optima batteries are the go. you can get the D34 yellow top for under $300 delivered to your door if you look around.... i got mine from KPD for a tad over that but only coz i like to support a mates business. |

try one of these when changing/swapping the battery, cheap as, i have one at home but always forget to use it!!! |
