I know theres probably a thousand topics about this already but i cant seem to find the answer im after.
On the weekend my motor started chokin up and has noe become a smoker, believing that it is either piston rings or valve seats im thinking to spend the money on a g16 upgrade but i cant quite seem to find what i will need and how hard it will be.

Just gonna hijack this thread to save starting another.

I have began the saga of the engine conversion, struggling to remove the g13bb,but before I get too far I have a question I desperately need answered.

My g13 has the coil packs on the head between the ignition leads, but looking at the baleno engine I got shipped to me the coil packs are on the rear, in turn making the engine 10cm longer in depth. Will this engine fit?

Post up a pic. I've only seen balenos here with coil pack on top.

It could be an import motor?

Yeah that looks like it. But how will that work on a north/South engine.

Custom bracket?

It may be possible to convert to the standard setup, but the coil packs are pricy and you may need to change the rocker cover.

Yeah I could use my camshaft and rocker cover, then all I have to worry about is mounting points from the easr/West fitting n/s
