return to centers just hide problems the stock arm on the jimny box doesn't have the provision for a dampener, thats a good enough excuse for me not to run a dampener in saying that, im not into high speed off road driving i much prefer no dampener |

RTC may hide problems to a certain extent but they certainly are worth it especially going from lock to centre |

i imagine the jimny if fitted with one from new, but my jimny pitman arm doesnt have the provisiond for it, id guess it mounts off the draglink... If we all followed the rules we would all be pimpin on 205's |

i had a vitara box with a jimny pitman arm in my sierra as did mr green. we made clamp setups around the pitman arm to mount the dampener then back to the factory location. reason i really done it was that i had a near new OME hd steer damper and my rig had the shakes, once i solved the shakes tho i would of been happy to run with out it. if you want one make it fit,if not dont stress |

I put a steering dampener on after power steering and it did nothing. So they don't add anything special if it already drives fine I suppose :/. |

When I put the PS in my Sierra I left it off, it didnt need it anymore. Actually, if I had wanted to run one it would have been more work as I did a Full RUF rebuilding the front of the chassis so I could move the diff and steering box forward much more without the links binding. I would have had to make a mount for it on the new crossmember. |

I ran vit ps in my old swb, Didn't need a damper. If you have wobbles. Something is wrong. Mine used to get wobbles. I knew it was loose wheel bearings every time. Coilys don't have one Jimnys don't have one |
