Well in that case you make me a very happy man!!

As indicated i have an 88 model with a 5 speed manual box. I am seriously considering dropping a rotary into it but i thought i should explore the bolt in performace options first. So assuming the G16B bolts straight up to the box i guess the question is what sort of reliable power can you get out of the engine?

I wouldnt mind getting to somewhere around 200kW at the flywheel if that can be achieved at a reasonable cost. So lets start there if you can give me an indication of what that motor might cost me as a crate motor type arrangement?

I dont need an itemised quote or anything so thorough, just an indicative price will do so i can work out the value as opposed to going with rotary power. If you could also explain the spec we would be talking about ie: whether it uses turbo, efi, nitrous, full haltech system etc to generate the power.

I will also be looking for a full cage and a brake / suspension upgrade so if you can point me in the right direction there it would be appreciated. I havent seen much in the way of brakes out there and i dont want to swap out the whole front end if i can avoid it. Look forward to hearing back from you. Dean.

200kw at the fly, bolt in?
Budget around $15k. Half for the engine itself, the remainder for turbo conversion and all associated works.
And yes, losfer is the man to talk to.

also factor in that the rest of the drive train is going to be weak as hell with huge power.

the question is why would you want too or should you rather than can you

13b turbo is a much simpler solution but requires some effort is all.
And the question is never "should you?" ... its "why havent you?"

Plenty of people on here have spent $15k plus on their zooks and will never get that money back. Its just that i want to run quarter miles instead of winch challenges - thats the only difference. Its a toy, lets not get all serious about it.
