Has anyone got an arb bar for a sierra with a 2 inch body lift?
How did you modify the bar to lift it?

Yup I have.

The mounting brackets were cut near the mounting holes. The cut section moved down 2" and some extra metal was cut to fill the gap and strengthen the new mounts. The new bits and old bits were welded up.

Mine is a winch bar tho i plan on putting a winch in there but dont want to loose the stuctural integrity of the bar by welding extentions on

If its welded properly and plated it will be stronger than standard.

2 hands, bend the knees & lift from the middle of the bar so it's a nice stable lift...

there are a few pics floating around on here of what people have done, i'll see if i can find them but try punching "ARB Bar 2" body lift" into the search in the meantime

Pretty sure I've put this on here before but here ya's go again this is how we modified my ARB bar to suit 2" Body lift.

Where to cut Standard Mounts

Modified Bracket for 2" BL

When we cut off my outriggers we welded a 6mm plate with a 1/2" captive nut in the end of the remaining tube and made another bracket that picks up there and is welded to the bar itself!
sorry no pics. :(

Hope this helps Robb.
