I have done a cooling system pressure test, it kept 10 psi for 10+ min so no issue there
Done a co2 test, no issue there. Not even a slight colour change in the test fluid
Replaced the radiator with a known good one with a new cap.

I am sure it has no thermostat as even at idle the coolant fair races around.
The water pump has been replaced, however it looks like he lost a few bolts. Can see 3 missing from the pump
It doesn't run hot and Infact seems to be a great little motor.

The harder I rev it the more coolant blows out the overflow

Any suggestions?

A thermostat doesn't explain why the radiator is being pressurized. Something else is going on besides flow. It dumps into the overflow bottle but then doesn't suck the coolant back into the radiator.

Passed a co2 test so no combustion gasses in the coolant

mate that is exactly what happened to mine, when you did the co2 test was the engine hot? the engine needs to be at operation temp, sometimes those testers can not change colour but its still stuffed, the fluid also shouldnt be reused. Try a different bottle.

mine turned out to be a crack in the block but could also of been a head issue (bought a new head). I ran mine with this issue for 6 months, just swapping the over flow coolant back to the rad.

p.s cavitation is air bubbles, so yeah i would think that it would create some pressure. You said the water pump was new, so unlikely

I had this problem from the get go with my GTI. I never tested anything. It would pressurise the cooling system to a point where if i took the cap off it would squirt out everywhere even though the coolant was cold. Over flow bottle would always be overflowing when the motor was hot. And last month the head gasket blew enough the make it misfire. Nice puddle of coolant was waiting for me in cyl 3 when I pulled the head off.

Oh yeah when do you need that Tcase flange?

EDIT: Just watched the video, I don't recall mine doing that if I stabbed the throttle.

I don't really want to check anything he did as I feel it will be a shitload of work fixing all the stripped threads and replacing the missing bolts.

I just want the thing to work properly so I can do fully sick skids

Put the cap back on, cant get out if there is no hole :peaceout:

I would put a thermostat back in so the top of the core isnt the restriction, ive seen similar with an electric pump doing the same thing

those sniffer tests arent the be all and end all either, ive got 2 pics here somewhere, one of the vit passing a sniffer test and one of the head off it thats cracked from end to end pompoms

Fast water flow in the top tank suggests a (partially) blocked radiator.
Water needs to flow faster to get an equivalent volume through less tubes.

Gushing out the spout like that screams head gasket to me.
Combustion pressure is getting into waterways and pushing water out with it as it escapes, the water isn't being recovered from the overflow bottle because there is no vacuum in the cooling system due to the bubbles being added when engine is hot/running.

Decided that I will ignore it and see if it goes away. If it doesn't go away I will pull it apart in a couple of weeks.

Anyone know where I can get a fsm for a mk1 GTI swift?

I'd be saying that's a head gasket for sure! I wouldn't rely on one of them co2 testers anyway.
