Gday all I'm just about to do a bit of a power upgrade so I thought I might upgrade front brakes swell as the front brakes need pads and rotors soon anyway, does anyone know if sv620 front brake setup will bolt straight on to a normal lwb?

Check out Darkhorse's build thread, he has done it.

Yup - you need the whole knuckle/spindle/hub arrangement to get the offset of the caliper lined up with the rotor, but it's all a straight bolt in.

Just to make you do more reading... Atari runs 15" Speedy Desert Rat sunnies and they go over the calipers IF you shave a bit of the corner of the caliper and stagger your pad changes so there is only one with lots of meat in them at a time. Too much stuffing around for me, so I just run 16s... but even then you need about an inch of neg offset for normal sunnies.

Not even going to try to point you to the relevant page in his thread.

15x7 -15's. i'd go back to a 16" rim if i can find one with similar offsets & run a tall skinny... but for how cheap & common the 31x10.5r15 is i think i'll be running them forever.

Cheers for the advice blokes seems a.like tfhb really will just get some good pads and some slotted rotors, should be ok I think, will just driveaccordingly, might not have to go to the full hassle of making a manifold for my quad throttle setup after all, found out that someone I know has a set of busa throttles on a manifold for a twin cam swift engine all.done ready to bolt on, gonna have a look, hopefully with some simple mods it will bolt on, wire it up and ready to rock, rorty induction here I come!

Ypu'll need to change the inlet manifold flange, as the G16B and GTI heads are different.

Yeah it will need Modding but it is not for a gti head believe it or not it is for a late model swift engine, current model I guess, will be checking it out none the less just hopeing it MAY fit, not holding my breath though.
