Lost or couldn't find original thread.
Due to recent enquiries,
popped this up in case it helps.

I believe its worth the upgrade, if you have a LWB.
I got all the bits from a bloke doing a conversion into his 1.3.
With a SWB probably cheaper to buy a good 1.3 to start with.

Not a simple bolt in, but easy enough if you have all the bits.
I had a 1.3 in my 1.0 LWB.
I used entire 1.3 motor gearbox and jack shaft.
Unis can be half 1.3 and half 1.0 yokes.
Engine mounts and gear box mounts need fabbing.
Small wiring changes to suit 1.3 alternator.

OLD OL thread http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/viewtopic ... conversion

OLD MAG ARTICLE here https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=702b0da9 ... 451F%21978

I used to have a topic on it on AZ.
Will try to find it buts heres pix.

Was actually about 5mm higher, but body lift could make engine appear lower than stock.

They never had any problemsw in my years of use.
Guy who bought them had no probs either.
They are just flat 8mm plate, drilled to suit.
Bracing isn't necessary.
Welded nuts helps, but ain't needed.
Had to trim a little to miss the extractors.

No way I could make them without a Sierra.(I a softy girly vit owner now)
I just slotted the motor in, stuck plates in, and marked the holes out.
