| Post subject: | Transfer box issue after 6.5's |
Hi, I finished installing 6.5 gears in a transfer but it seems its in neutral when selecting 2H 4H. When I turn the input I can hold the output from spinning. I have tripple checked the linkage location and also pulled the box to bits twice. How ever when it's in 4L everything sweet...Cant stop any of the flanges from spinning like you should. Everything is shimmed nicely too. Will it come good when I put it in the zook and drive in 4L for a bit? Has anyone else had issues like this with transfers? Thanks |

are you sure you don't have your hi/low shift fork on backwards ? are you able to select your full shift pattern. do you still have your 2wd/4wd-hi/low interlock pin fitted ? |

Full shift pattern normal. do you still have your 2wd/4wd-hi/low interlock pin fitted ? The one underneath? Detent ball and spring? Yeah maybe its somewhere here causing the problem. Even put a new spring in. Also checked all the shift balls and springs with the case apart. Cheers |

Shift fork is in the right location where is goes onto the shift collar. Got the collar on the right way too... (one side has a tapered edge.) New bush installed. |

I'm using a 1ltr transfer lever/stick too. Not sure if they are different to WT? |

I'm such an idjit. Put the high speed output gear on wrong way round. The shift collar wasn't grabbing it that's what it was! lol |
