They are a bit cheezy, and the bars can be uncomfortable against your leg/ knee.

Otherwise they are ok I guess.

Bugger that.... had em but kept smashing my knee on it till it bled when out wheeling.

So made up some cards with ply and marine carpet......easy as and cheap.

I'll second the bleeding of the knee and they also get hot so when you got a wound and a hot plate it's not much fun
Get some coily door trims ;)

I will be making door trims next year, I can make them out of plastic, board, aluminium, cardboard.

Will be making mine out of a brushed aluminium 3mm sheet (dibond) with SUZUKI or SIERRA engraved in them.

I can buy the sheets in different colours, finishes and can also print a picture/logo on them them.

Aha okay so that's a definite no to checker plate! Ahah I still have the old door trims, could you just take off the old plastic and put some carpet around the frame? Or would you have to make another door trim and start from there?

go purchase some ply with the $$ you would spend on the shitter plate. trace and cut out the old door trim, a can of spray adhesive, some hot glue, bit of marine carpet or vinyl . Bang.. new door trims.. with no knee scaring.
