Does anyone here have the CALMINI 3.5" COMBO SUSPENSION SYSTEM fitted to there Sierra?

If so what is the feedback/opinion on this lift?

Looking at this for a suspension upgrade for my Sierra, looks like the best value for money kit I have seen.

To my door around $1200.

No, I dont have it. Or ever even seen one in person. I think its not a good solution. I think your better off with a 2" lifted rear spring in all 4 corners (RUF) Hammer time will fit 30-31s and extended bumpstops depending on you body type and wheel offset Vitual lift to run up to 33s ad a 1" body lift for 35s. Or 2" bl and hammer for 33s. Efs springs are around $500 for all 4, ad some shocks for a few more. Pm dank for suspension, just_cruzin for the BL.

I built a shackle reverse many years ago. It was a waste of time. It improves on road ride, but it doesn't improve off road behaviour and makes tyre fitment harder. Steve.

If you want a 3.5" lift what about OME 1.5" and a 2" body lift. Would cost you around the same but would give you more tyre clearance and better flex.

Can you PM me some info/prices on the Dobinsons and EFS Suspension. Looking at 3" or 2" lift, no body lift at this stage.

I'd start the other way around. Body lift to fit the tyres, suspension to get the ride/flex. 3" of suspension lift rides like poo, and 2" of lift won't fit a bigger tyre. Steve.

Can't be that bad, the Vitara has 30" with stock gearing and drives fine. Reason I want to run 30" tyres is because I can swap between the Vitara and Sierra. Don't think a realistic budget comes into it. Way I look at it you can spend a little or go over board like all my other hobbies. You have to start somewhere with mods and my first mod on the Vitara was a rear locker, great first mod. What let it down then was ground clearance so got the lift. Then wanted to go more places so in went the gears. I can put locker/lockers and crawler gears in but cost: Locker and Compressor $2000 Second Locker $1500 Crawler gears $2000 Way more then the value of the car... Then I will still need a lift because the current one has had it, so my current budget is $1200 for a lift. Maybe later a rear locker.

Bingo. A too tall car with 30's and stock gearing is worse everywhere than a stock car. Leave it alone if you don't have a realistic budget. Steve.

Oh and I have calmini springs and reckon they are great exept the rear ones are a bit to soft, I seem to be in the minority however

Gearing should be number one on your list 1200 is two spartins and a set of 4.9's delivered. 30's and stock gearing sucks... i have 30's... one drive up the drive way was one to many..... You will be sorely disapointed if you for out 1200 on suspension. I recomend you go on some trips and talk to people with your desired setup

Will have to consider some of these: Lockright $200 Second lockright $200 6.5 transfer gears $450 50mm body lift $240 1200 is two spartins and a set of 4.9's delivered. Only thing is I will not be installing the lockers or gearing so will have to factor in labor and extras like bearing kits, etc. As you say might have to do some trip/rides in modified Sierra's. Anyone have a write up on the Sierra body lift install??

You wont need a body lift... so that will buy you the bearings
