hi guys. having trouble trying to work out why my 1.3l sierra wont idle. if i hold the revs over 2000 it has a slight miss but if i let the accelerator go completely it will splutter and die.. it has new fuel pump, firing through all leads and plugs and ive drowned the carby with carby cleaner and still wont idle. the only weird thing is when number 1 plug is out it idles at 2000rpm... then i put it back in and still wont idle..

When you cycle the key do you hear a little click around the carb? Sounds like your idle solenoid is playing up.

I can't remember if it comes on with the acc or not definitely comes on in the on position though so just move the key from off to on, off to on, its a pretty audible click. You will know it if its there.
