Hello all,

Currently completely a resurection of an 85' holden drover.

Ive noticed that the radiator fan is directly connected to the water pump pulley, i just got the engine going last night after a rebuild, and i think id prefer a viscous coupling to slow the poor fan down.

Does anyone know if there is a viscous coupling that can be used in its place easily? And will this suit the standard radiator/shroud? ie will it change the offset of the fan in relation to the radiator?

I dont have a shroud at the moment (looking to buy one though).

Not a big issue i suppose, but i think id prefer the viscous coupling over the fixed coupling.

Any help would be muhc appreciated.

edit: i just read that the later model sierras have a viscous coupling? is this true?

Coil sierras might have had a viscous clutch, but as per atari's comment - you want a vitara fan and hub. Much biggerer

That sounds quite excellent.

apart from the fact they are like 150bucks new!

i think i will learn to live with my fixed fan unless a cheap one comes up.

so the vitara viscous thingy, aka this:

and a vitara fan suits this, my radiator, and my standard drover radiator shroud?
