I have an LWB vitara, lifted around 50mm. I have read lots of posts around lifts, and it would seem a Diff spacer (third arm - or heim spacer as the US seems to call them) is a damn good idea with this sort of lift. Right - so I got one.
The one I got is offset, so the top plate is around 20mm offset from the plate that mounts to the diff. I had a play last night, and the only way I could get it to fit, so the ball joint lines up, is if the offset points towards the back of the car. Is this right?
Should I be undoing the shock mounts and attempting to 'roll' the diff back and have the offset point towards the front of the car?
Does this make sense?
Should I ditch the offset spacer and get a 'straight' spacer like B4V list, although they have no stock at the moment?
